Crystal Cures in Feng Shui
From LoveToKnow Feng-Shui
Crystal cures in feng shui are often used to correct negative chi for which there are not other easy cures.
Why Crystals Are Used as Cures
In feng shui, crystals are said to be one of those rare objects that emits positive energy, while at the same time, deflecting negative energy. In classic or traditional feng shui practice, crystals have positive vibrations, which cause the stones to emit positive chi.
Crystal Cures in Feng Shui to Heal Chakra
There are seven main chakra in a person's body. When one chakra is blocked or slowed, this can make a person feel ill, have a negative attitude, run down, stressed out or just out of "whack" in general. In feng shui (and many cultures for that matter), wearing a crystal bracelet in which each stone represents the seven major chakra helps to heal these ailments. Here is a basic guideline of the color of crystal stones you need to help heal your chakra:
- The Crown – White, violet or clear
- The Third Eye – Dark blue or indigo
- The Throat – Light blue
- The Heart – Green or pink
- The Solar Plexus – Yellow
- The Sacral – Orange
- The Base – Red, gray or black
Search for crystals in the described colors to cure your chakra. If you have a hard time finding crystals, buy semi-precious stones available at most arts and crafts stores, they emit the same positive energy as natural crystals.
Crystal Cures in Feng Shui: Poison Arrows
For some poison arrows, like books, there is an easy cure. Simply change the direction in which the books are facing. For others, like where two corners meet in a room, the cure is a bit more difficult. This is where crystals come in. Here are a few common poison arrows in every home or workspace and their crystal cure:
- Long narrow hallways – Chi likes to wind and meander. Long narrow hallways, especially those with many doors, aren't conducive to this winding tendency. The cure to this problem is to hang a crystal from the ceiling somewhere in the hallway. Choose the placement of the crystal by hanging it in multiple places until you find the spot it feels right to you.
- Corners that point into and not away from a room – Most corners of a room point away from it, but if you have, say a half wall, the corner points in toward the room rather than away from it. This creates a poison arrow, bringing negative chi in the space. To cure this problem, hang a crystal directly in front of the protruding corner.
- Stairs – Stairs themselves are not poison arrows, but stairs that end directly in front of a doorway are. So, in order to keep the positive chi from flowing directly out of your house every time the door opens, place a crystal somewhere between the bottom of the staircase and the door.
Using Crystal to Disperse Negative Energy
Negative chi doesn't always enter your home or workspace via poison arrows, sometimes, people or objects emanate negative energy. Here are a few crystal cures in feng shui to disperse this negative chi:
- Hang a crystal in a window – The crystal not only helps to deflect the negative chi, but when the sunlight hits the facets of the crystal, it helps to disperse the negative energy from your home.
- Place a leaded crystal bowl on a table – Leaded crystal has many facets. Once negative chi enters the facets of the bowl, it is dispersed.
People have been practicing feng shui for years. Even if you think you don't believe in it, you've probably used some of the principles yourself without even knowing it. For example, think of how many times you've met a person and thought to yourself "I just don't get a good vibe off him". That scenario right there is making use of the basic principle of energy (chi) flow in feng shui.
